Jujutsu Kaisen Manga, Chapter 54 In Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 53, deep within a swamp, Haruta Shigemo reflects on his minimal role in the recent mission, while a gravely injured Hanami collapses. At the same time, Mahito successfully steals six of Sukuna’s fingers and the Death Painting Wombs No. 1–3, following a strategy planned by Suguru Geto.

By using Mahito’s cursed energy to trace Jujutsu High’s vault and deploying a Curtain to distract the school, the group bypasses Tengen’s Barrier without detection. Their ultimate goal is to prepare for the sealing of Satoru Gojo on October 31st in Shibuya.

Back at Jujutsu High, Ijichi confirms both the theft and the casualties caused by Mahito’s infiltration. Gojo suspects the barrier breach was achieved through plant-based cursed techniques. With no useful intel from captured curse users, the Principals discuss canceling the Goodwill Event, but Gojo firmly states the choice isn’t up to them.
